Hi Erik.
I just moved from Livermore to Roseville and found this site. I wish I had found it earlier. I purchased my F 350 from a source close to my old address... if you know who I mean.
Anyway, I just rolled 91000 miles on her since new and have noticed a couple of weird things lately. Maybe you or someone out there has experienced this before. I have the factory boost gauge and on moderate hill climbs such as Altamont Pass, I used push about 10 lbs. of boost. The truck now will push around 20 + lbs on the same hill and seems to not have much reserve power left.
My son has the same truck, but, an 05. His Cat went out, plugged up. Does this sound like a logical cause or am I just flipping out here? What are the options???

Swing it by sometime and I'll take a look.plugged cats aren't all that common but stuck turbos are. That'd be my guess.  If so we can split and polish and you'll be good.  Livermore number is 925.784.9763

We can diag it while you wait, if it needs a turbo split and clean, that takes about 4 hours once the truck is cool, so probably an overnight unless you are here first thing.
